New law in Singapore regulating EV charging begins Dec 8 2023

In Singapore, starting from the end of 2024, companies offering public charging services for electric vehicles (EVs) must enable users to make payments through credit cards or by scanning a QR code. This requirement replaces the exclusive reliance on the companies’ smartphone apps or charge cards, aiming to enhance the convenience for drivers utilizing EV charging services across the island.

Quickcharge pioneering the change

Quickcharge stands out as one of the pioneering EV charging companies that already have all our public EV charger models installed with VOLTPOS, that enables credit card payments and QR code scanning. Users can conveniently utilize these payment options through our Quickcharge Mobile App or directly at the charging machine itself.
